Dennis Hyland

Director, Claims Audit Services


Dennis Hyland is the Director of Claims Audit Services for AIM. His primary responsibilities include conducting claim and benefit audits for clients with self-funded health plans. AIM’s audit services provide accurate, easy-to-understand, and independent analysis to help clients ensure their health plan claims are being paid effectively and in accordance with their plan specifications. With the addition of his expertise, the firm has expanded its Compliance and Audit Practice to handle all areas of health and welfare plan consultancy and brokerage. Hyland performs claim audits for large clients as well as assists in other key areas of compliance including plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other compliance-based communications.


Prior to joining AIM, Hyland spent more than 15 years managing, performing, and leading claim audit work at Aon and predecessor companies, having audited virtually every major commercial carrier and TPA in the nation. Previously, Hyland was in Claims and Operations Management with American Group Administrators (AGA), a New York TPA, and HIP of New York.
